The Jerusalem International Book Fair runs from February 10 to 15 and as always there are a lot of writers and events in literalab’s sphere of interest.
At the literary cafes these include Hungarian writer and previous Angelus award winner (link) György Spiró, who will be speaking about his autobiographical novel Dreaming For You. Polish writer Joanna Bator will talk about her novel The Sand Mountain while Jacek Hugo-Bader will discuss White Fever, the only novel mentioned above so far translated into English (though that’s 33.3%, which isn’t too bad, is it?).
Hungary, which is not exactly looking like the best friend of the Jewish people at home, is being very active at the fair with some interesting panels and events such as one on ”To be an Hungarian writer or a writer in the world?” that besides Spiró includes György Dragomán and a number of other Hungarian writers.

Read an interview I did with György Spiró here and here.
