
From November 14 through 17 the Slovak capital of Bratislava will host Bibliotéka, the country’s book fair, featuring an array of Slovak and international writers and publishers such as Michal Hvorecký, Péter Esterházy and Pavel Vilikovský. But the name which has the whole city waiting with bated breath – no, the whole country – is my own, as I am coming too.

Discussion about Central European literature with Prague-based American writer Michael Stein, who will present the internet journal B O D Y and the English-language blog literalab, which focuses on Central European literature. Pavel Vilikovský, Zbigniew Machej and Petr Minařík will also participate in the discussion.
The discussion takes place on Thursday at 17:00 at Pódium ZVKS a LIC so if you’re there come by.
The weekend in Bratislava will also see the Central European Forum, which includes participants such as Olga Tokarczuk, Timothy Snyder, and Slavenka Drakulić.
