Argentine writer Iosi Havilio is appearing at the excellent Blue Metropolis International Literature Festival in Montreal on Friday May 2 and Saturday May 3 together with fellow Latin American writers Carlos Labbé, Luis Alberto Urrea and Eduargo Lago.

There are not a lot of Central and Eastern European writers at the festival, it being in faraway Montreal, but there is Austrian Wolf Haas, author of the Detective Brenner mystery series, as well as the Croatian-born Josip Novakovich, who I met at this very festival.
