Translated from the Russian by Mariya Gusev and Rebecca Bella Wangh
One day, all this will end
For sure, it will run its course —
Bombs and buckwheat will run out
Tanks and matches will run out
Cannon fodder will run out
Cheese in the mousetrap will run out
Air in a space suit will run out
Time and money will run out
Salt and patience will run out
Arrivals, departures will come to an end
Combat, provisions will come to an end
Our words and our freedoms will come to an end
And we, most likely, will come to an end
Or maybe, will just drop dead
Slumped near a concrete wall
But all of this will end
One day, all this will end
