From “On Universal Balance“, one of two pieces by Daniil Kharms translated from the Russian by Alexander Cigale in this week’s Saturday European Fiction. They will be followed by another two pieces by Kharms in two weeks’ time and then a selection in February as Daniil Kharms: Russian Absurd, a book of selected writings translated by Cigale is published by Northwestern University Press.
