Croatia’s Lit Link Festival takes place later this week from June 29 through July 1. With writers and literary editors from the UK as guests together with Croatian writers the festival takes place in three cities in three successive days – Pula on June 29, Rijeka on June 30 and Zagreb on July 1.
The festival is hosted by Croatian writer Robert Perišić, author of Our Man in Iraq and is coordinated by writer, publisher and editor Ivan Sršen.
Guests this year include Maja Ručević, Gary Budden, Ivan Vidak, Samantha Harvey, Zoran Feric Ferić, Barbara Matejčić, Joanna Kavenna, Andrea Pisac, David Howard (special guest, New Zealand), Damir Karakaš and David Szalay among others.
Past year’s festivals have included guest writers and editors from the US, Canada, France and Italy. I went to the Canadian year and it was phenomenal. If you can make it, definitely go.
You can read a lot about the festival and its writers on Critical Mass here (and there’s a festival program)
